A trip across the Orient is proposed by the new dining & nightlife space, MöTAO, which opens to the public on the 2nd of July, at Vilamoura Marina, in the Algarve. Fresh, light and exotic food is served in a sophisticated space where the summer-vibe, nightlife and comfort coexist in harmony.
One hundred and fifty seats are divided into three distinct spaces: in the lounge area you can enjoy a street finger food menu full of flavors, while watching the sunset on relaxing swings; a terrace with a privileged view of the marina and the sea; and the restaurant, with two floors. Parking is easy, as the MöTAO has a private car park with capacity for 100 cars. It should be remembered that in 2019, on the west side of the marina, the Soul Food & Dance project operated.
Chef Gabriel Silva and chef sushiman Agnaldo Ferreira promise a trip, where street food from Japan, China and Korea is not lacking, but also the exotic flavors of the beaches of Indonesia and Thailand. Bao connoisseurs have several options to choose from, from crispy tofu bao (€9), prawn bao (€11) or pork belly bao (€10). Korean fried chicken (€9), is an alternative for those who want to snack to the music of resident DJs, John Mina and Tata Pimentel.
On this trip to the East, be sure to try the Tiger Prawn Pad Thai (€22), the Prawn and Shiitake Udon (€22) or the Tom Yum of Prawn with Shrimp and Chicken Wontons (€24). For meats, Babi Assam Short Ribs (€24), with tamarind, green fruit salad and jasmine rice, and matured Chuleta Hibachi (€65/2px), yuzu dutch and sweet potato with Japanese sauces are mandatory.
The setting for this new space, which is part of the Fullest group, was designed by interior architect Ricardo Abelaira. MöTAO (Vilamoura Marina, Vilamoura. Tel. (+351) 969 649 749) is open every day between 18:00 and 22:30, and wants to be this summer’s spot in the Algarve.
